As we all know by now, Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton, titled Alexander Hamilton, was the inspiration for the musical. I’ve read it twice in the last few years and it is one of the best-written biographies I’ve ever read and has inspired me to read more about the founding fathers. Chernow’s biography of George Washington, Washington: A Life, is also excellent and worth reading. Hamilton is also available as an audiobook.
